Slack’s Radio is a community radio station with over 100 resident DJs worldwide, but mostly from across the North East of England. We broadcast live from Thursday to Sunday, and our shows are available 24/7 at slacks.world

Since we launched in June 2021, we’ve gone from operating entirely online to having a studio for live broadcasts in The Lubber Fiend on Blandford Street. This year, Slack’s Radio will move downstairs to join The Lubber Kitchen.

We are fundraising to ensure that the new studio is fully step-free and wheelchair accesible. This will include height-adjustable decks, a ramp at the entrance, and a wide accessible doorway.

Making the studio accessible will help us meet our goal of being a truly inclusive community radio station for the North East and beyond.

Fundraising target: £1,000
This will cover the costs of an adjustable table for the decks, materials to build a ramp into the space and to make the doorway accessible.
